Semi-automatic parking systems

Semi-automatic parking is ideal for those situations where few parking spaces are required (15-20 maximum) but with fast pick-up times, about 2 minutes. Unlike automatic parking facilities where there is a single storage and retrieval room for the entire parking lot, in semi-automatic parking facilities there are multiple entrances, as there are limited movements within the parking garage. In this type of facility, the user/parking space correspondence is 1 to 1, i.e., each user is assigned a fixed parking space; his or her car will always be parked in the same location. For this very reason, a semi-automatic parking garage is the preferred choice for multi-family garages, shopping malls, offices showrooms or collectors.

Unlike fully automatic systems, in these facilities, the driver directly reaches the car parking area by parking his or her own car on the free platform assigned to him or her; all subsequent movements made by the system in both insertion and extraction are completely automitic. The system can be activated by the driver by means of a badge or personal code, which gives him access to the platform on which his car is positioned, allowing him to board the car and leave the garage without having to make complicated maneuvers.
