Types of automated parking systems

Svecom Parking Solutions realizes four types of automated parking, in none of the cases is there ever a man on board. As soon as the vehicle is left on the movable plate, the owner can enter the input data to start parking operations and then can drive away without worrying about getting back into the car. In fact, just for the safety and security of people, no access is allowed inside the automated shed.

Revolutionary and practical, stacker cranes use moving platforms that move vertically to park and retrieve vehicles quickly and efficiently. Ideal for tight spaces, these systems offer a smart solution for lifting or lowering, but also for sideways moving four-wheel vehicles to position them in the most appropriate way to maximize the capacity of a parking lot.

These innovative automated parking systems allow vehicles to be stacked safely and conveniently by moving platforms, which move horizontally.

Floor trolley systems are ideal for making longitudinal use of every available inch of a multi-story parking lot, turning it into a convenient and reliable experience, without danger to the driver.

Triaxial platform systems are state-of-the-art solutions that work by automatically moving cars on a lift plate that moves along 3 structural axes. These advanced devices allow vehicles to be parked on multiple levels, making maximum use of the available parking area. Thanks to their sophisticated technology, they offer efficient space management, turning the time of parking search, into a unique, fast and stress-free experience.

These devices combine advanced automated technologies, which require, however, intervention by operators or drivers during parking procedures. Semi-automatic parking systems are, therefore, the right compromise between automation and control, and allow vehicles to be parked or retrieved from a shed in a convenient and simplified manner, without wasting time driving around for a long time to find the most suitable space for one’s car.

Svecom Parking Solutions’s automated parking systems are state-of-the-art technological designs that can make parked vehicles mobile so that they can be moved flexibly to make efficient use of any parking space.

Such a parking lot consumes from a minimum of 3 KW up to a maximum of 35 KW: it depends on the size of the cars to be transported and the speed of the lift.

In areas where parking areas are scarce, or in places where standard parking systems cannot be built so as not to disfigure the uniqueness of the surrounding landscape, these new systems are the only possible solution for optimizing the available area and offering a useful service to citizens.

Each automated parking lot can be customized with several optional extras:

Digital portal and sensor card

Our automated parking systems are equipped with a digital portal that is accessed through an RFID card, which is provided to users who need to park. Each badge is linked to one space, but multiple badges can be linked to the same parking space.

Custom smartphone app

There is also a custom parking app from which it is possible to book a car pickup and view via smartphone the time remaining before the car is ready to be picked up from the automated parking lot.

In addition to large companies and public spaces, our automated parking systems can also be created ad hoc for the private citizen who needs to shelter his or her car, but does not have enough outdoor space and does not have the possibility of building a standard garage.

Automatic underground and above-ground parking garages

Depending on the size available and the client’s need, underground or above-ground automated parking garages can be built. In particular, with underground parking systems, space is maximized by taking advantage of the area below street level; with car silos, on the other hand, all available outdoor space can be utilized by building a structure that develops vertically.

Automated underground parking systems

Each car is parked above ground on platforms; once the panel is activated with the RFID card or with the dedicated smartphone app, the car will begin to descend along with the platform until it reaches an underground parking lot where each space is numbered. The car will be parked in the nearest available spot.

Automated underground parking garages

Unlike underground parking garages, automated above-ground parking garages have entrances at street level and allow any vehicle to be parked carefree and pulled out of the shed in a matter of minutes.

Automated car silos

Automated car silos are elevated above-ground parking garages that are vertically developed over several floors. They are usually accessed from street-level entrances, and the vehicle is placed on moving platforms that rise upward and, thanks to motorized systems, go to position the cars in the different floors used for parking vehicles.
